Which calibration color card I need to calibrate the Delvo®Scan

Delvo®Scan makes use of scanning technology based on light to measure colors. For the measurement of color with a standard desktop scanner, in a way similar to that in which the human eye perceives color, it is necessary to calibrate the scanner with a standard color reference ‘Target’.

The Reflective Color Input Targets are based upon ANSI IT8.7/2 and ISO 12641 standards.

The target that is validated by DSM to be used in the Delvo®Scan calibration procedure is the Laser Soft Imaging Input target IT8.7/2-1993 5x7 inch. Each Target has a batch and reference number, as indicated in the following figure.

The batch number can be found in the lower left part of the photo and takes the form of YYYY:MM (where Y is the year and M is the month). The reference number is written on the lower right side of the card.

More information about the color targets can be found at the website of Silverfast.  IT8.7/2-1993 5x7 inch

It is recommended to perform a color calibration monthly to verify the performance of the scanner.

Target Data file

Each calibration color card (color target) has an individual batch has a corresponding data file, which contains the accurate color measurements. Please download the data file which corresponds to your batch number and save to your local hard-drive.

This files can be downloaded from the DSM Delvotestportal.
