What can I do if the IP does not appear on the DAS.

Troubleshooting IP (Internet Protocol) issues can vary depending on the specific problem you're encountering.

If there is no IP on the small DAS screen:

Check Physical Connections:

  1. Ensure that all physical connections between devices are secure and properly connected.
  2. Try a different LAN cable (if available use the blue cable of another DAS)). Restart the device.
  3. If router connection does not work, connect the DAS directly to a laptop via the blue cable And vice-versa. Restart the device, wait 1 minute and check if the IP appears.
  4. With the laptop/computer connected, open the browser (chrome) and start typing an IP – If you know the previous IP type that one or use the example - 169.254.197.211 (sometimes this prompts the IP to appear). Restart the device, wait 1 minute and check if the IP appears.
  5. Long press the play button (10s) .The lights on the DAS will change. Sometimes IP will appear. Restart the device, wait 1 minute and check if the IP appears.
  6. In the browser type the DAS name followed by .local for example,   DAS_1018.local    -Restart the device, wait 1 minute and check if the IP appears.
  7. Remove the operators file. \

\Go to setup - scroll down and press the button unlock files. Go to Files, select and remove ONLY the operators file. (DO NOT REMOVE any other folders, or software files as this can impact the functionality of your DAS). Restart the DAS. A new operators file will be created automatically. Check if the IP appears.

Ping Test:

Use the ping command to test connectivity to other devices or websites by their IP addresses.

  • Open the CMD and ping DAS_XXXX  for example,   ping DAS_1018
  • Restart the device, wait 1 minute and check if the IP appears.

In case the IP appears at any stage but the DAS is still not accessible via the browser:

Go to the files via windows explorer

  1. Type on the browser the IP followed by :80  for example, 169.254.197.211:80
  2. Open the CMD and ping the IP example:   ping  169.254.197.211
  3. Access the DAS files via the windows explorer; type \\ 169.254.197.211

Check the operators file is correct. (inhibitors, software version, operators) replace with DSM advice. DSM-firmenich can provide further instructions on how to replace the SD card of the device. Kindly contact DSM-firmenich via the flowbot

NOTE: IP can vary from location to location, an IP shown in our lab might not work at the customer’s location
