Delvotest® T ampoules, our latest generation of tests, are internationally recognised as the gold standard in detecting antibiotic residues in dairy. In this article, we explore which dairy products Delvotest® T can be used for, and what its standards and certifications are for each.
Raw Cow Milk
Analysis of raw cow milk both from individual animals and bulk tanks (i.e., 'comingled') with Delvotest® T ampoules have been independently certified for use by the Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR). AFNOR is a standards organisation responsible for developing and certifying norms across industries. They help make sure ensure companies like Delvotest® meet recognised quality, safety, and environmental standards, both in France and internationally. To earn an AFNOR certificate, products like Delvotest® must pass thorough, independent performance studies to ensure that they meet quality standards. The certification is valid for four years, with ongoing monitoring and renewal processes.
Our Delvotest® T ampoules' official AFNOR certificate🔗 and study report🔗 are publicly available.
Application Methods
AFNOR's certificate covers the way Delvotest® T ampoules were incubated and read during its study. Incubation was done with both the Delvotest® Mini S🔗 and a standard waterbath procedure; and reading was done both visually🔗 and through an older results-reading product for laboratories named Delvo®Scan🔗.
Though not covered in its AFNOR certificate, Delvotest® T ampoules raw cow milk testing with our new Delvotest® Go🔗, a first, publicly available, independent validation by Qlip🔗 has been done.
Sensitivities Lists
Detection sensitivities thresholds for Delvotest® T ampoules in raw cow milk will vary depending on your local definition of Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs). For this purpose, we have prepared the following four lists:
Raw Goat and Sheep Milk
Though not covered in its AFNOR certificate and study's scope, we have also carried a, publicly available, internal validation study of Delvotest® T ampoules use for raw goat and sheep milk🔗.
Application Methods
This internal validation study covers the way Delvotest® T ampoules were incubated and read. Incubation was done with a standard waterbath procedure; and reading was done both visually🔗 and through an older results-reading product for laboratories named Delvo®Scan🔗.

Other Dairy Products
Though other dairy products, application methods, and external conditions are not independently certified nor internally validated by us for use with Delvotest® T ampoules, over the years we have worked with many customers to support local validation studies of samples like:
- Colostrum
- Milk powders
- Cream
- Raw milk from cows, goat and sheep containing preservatives
- Other dairy species like donkey, buffalo, camel, etc.
- Oven incubation
- Nonstandard storage conditions
In such cases, to inform a robustly designed local validation framework, as a starting point we typically follow the International Dairy Federation's FIL-IDF B-471🔗 (Detection of Inhibitors and Antimicrobial Residues in Milk and Dairy Products by Screening Methods—Guidance on Preparation of the Test Portion).

Conclusion
Though Delvotest® T ampoules have been thoroughly studied for use across many dairy products, application methods, and external conditions, no single certification or study covers the full range of possibilities. However, each study builds a strong case for its performance, and, ultimately, we always invite you to check for yourself that Delvotest® T ampoules work for you in your local circumstances. In the next articles, we explore how Delvotest® T ampoules work, and how to ensure their proper use.
