Do I need to calibrate the DAS?

To perform an incubation run, the DAS needs to be calibrated. These following calibrations exist and should be executed in the following order:

1. Position calibration, which calibrates the position of the cups in an image.

2. Uniformity calibration, which calibrates the distribution of the illumination.

3. Color calibration, which calibrates the observed colors by the DAS.

Note: If the glass needs to be cleaned follow the cleaning instructions as explained in Troubleshooting

The calibration tests can be started in the Calibration page. It is required to log in to reach the Calibration page.

To perform the calibrations, Service mode must be selected by holding the Set button on the DAS for at least 10 seconds. The LEDs indicators blue and green will be on and the DAS display will show ā€œService modeā€.

To complete each calibration, click on the "Execute" button and follow the instructions shown on the browser screen.

For detailed instructions on calibration process and materials required see also the following sections:

  • "White and Black targets for DAS calibrations"
  • "What is the process to calibrate the DAS?"
  • "How often should the device be calibrated?"

Once all calibrations are performed, make sure that the heating module is correctly in place, close the lid then press Start button on the DAS to exit Service mode.
