The following materials are required to execute the DAS calibrations: 
Detailed description:
1) White paper
A white paper target with dimensions of 155 x 130 mm is required for the uniformity calibration of the DAS. Ensure that when the paper is placed into the glass plate, it does not cover the connection of the grid. See placement position in the picture below:
There is no standard white color card in the DAS box. The user should use matte white paper. See below the suggested options:
A) Use a White A4 size paper (210 x 297 mm or 8.27 x 11.69 inches) commonly used in photo-copier machine.
- Recommended weight: >90g/m² thickness >0.28 mm
- or use 80 g/m² folded 2 times and place in the center of the glass grid
- Recommended whiteness/ brightness 95< CIE <170.
- Recommended Matte finish
Use a fresh A4 paper for every calibration point.

B) Use a white target card with Matte finish provided by a supplier:
Several suppliers offer standard white paper targets or cards for various purposes.
For example, Office Supply Stores, Online Retailers, Specialty Paper Suppliers, Art Supply Stores or Printer Paper Manufacturers.
Kindly refer to a store, looking for paper that meets the specifications below:
- Recommended whiteness/ brightness 95< CIE <170.
- Matte finish
- thickness >0.28 mm.
- Cut the paper card into the desired dimensions.
2) Black paper
A black target is required for the position calibration of the DAS.
A) Create a black/dark paper with the copier machine:
A black/dark paper target can be created by the copier machine. Scan while leaving the lid of the copier machine open to generate a dark colored paper. Fold or cut the paper in the required dimensions (190 x 240 mm). Place the dark paper facing down and close the lid.
Warning scanning with open lid can dramatically increase the toner use. Save the generated dark paper to reuse for future position calibrations.
B) Use a Black target card with Matte finish provided by a supplier:
Several suppliers offer standard white paper targets or cards for various purposes.
For example, Office Supply Stores, Online Retailers, Specialty Paper Suppliers, Art Supply Stores or Printer Paper Manufacturers.
C) Use a Black matte/ non shiny cloth or fabric.
Fold or cut the fabric in the required dimensions (190 x 240 mm). Place the dark surface on top of the grid and close the lid.
