If you're following the Installation and Setup flow🔗, in the previous article we explored how to verify a Delvotest® Accelerator Smart's (DAS's) temperature accuracy🔗—which involved applying thermal paste to the heating grid to ensure even conductivity. In this article, we delve into cleaning and maintenance best practices to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Cleaning
Keeping the DAS clean and free from contaminants is crucial for ensuring reliable and consistent results. We advise following these four smart principles:
- Choose safe cleaning agents
Use water and mild cleaners instead. This is because aggressive cleaners like isopropyl alcohol, ethanol, or acetone can damage sensitive components. - Act quickly on spills
If milk or liquids spill on your device, clean immediately to prevent contamination and damage. - Use the right cloth
Always use a clean, dust-free, or slightly damp cloth with water to prevent scratches or residue build up. - Keep exterior and interior surfaces clean
Regularly wipe down both the outer and inner surfaces, paying special attention to the interior glass. - Handle glass and grid with care Clean the glass beneath the grid with a soft, dry cloth. For tougher stains, use water sparingly. Ensure the grid remains free of debris to avoid incubation issues.
Maintenance
Always make sure to follow the DAS's key environmental requirements🔗, reacting promptly whenever cleaning it necessary (e.g., spillages). Additionally, we recommend performing a more thorough cleaning during standard calibration cycles—typically every six months. This proactive approach helps extend servicing life. And if you ever come across issues you think that may threaten your DAS(es) seamless functioning, reach out. Here at Delvotest® we pride ourselves at giving you hassle-free, pragmatic support—that's why when it comes to the DAS we're committed to keeping your maintenance costs low and servicing life high.. So, if you are not able to troubleshoot any problems with your device on your own (e.g., inaccurate temperature), need to replace any components, or got any questions, we're here to help.
