In a previous article we have In a previous article we have introduced the DAS interface 🔗 and shown how the ‘Set up’ tab appears once you sign in as administrator. Once you land on the ‘Set up’ tab, you will have access to your device main features; from customizable device settings to software upgrades and laying the groundwork for integration with your Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
The example page below, provides a quick overview of the Set up page. In this article we will go through each feature and describe the main functions.
Device Name
Off-the-shelf, every DAS is configured with a standard Device Name that adheres to its Special Characters requirements🔗. This is set with the following format, i.e. DAS_1112
DAS_[Serial Number]
The text 'DAS', simply representing the standard acronym for 'Delvotest® Accelerator Smart', followed by an underscore symbol _ and the Serial identification number of the device. The serial ID number can be found on the silver sticker 🔗, located on the back of your DAS, above the power switch panel.
Language
This is the language of the user-interface as seen in browser and of the display of the DAS. While the Delvotest® Accelerator Smart (DAS) interface currently supports several languages, we acknowledge that not all text is fully or thoroughly translated, and this may impact your experience, take a look at our Language and Accessibility efforts 🔗.
CSV delimiter
This character is used as delimiter to separate the values that are shown in the results csv report. i.e. comma ‘,’ or semi column ‘;’ are commonly used as delimiters but other symbols can also be used. When selecting the delimiter follow the advice on Special characters 🔗 .The csv delimiter character cannot be used in the input fields such as comments, operator name, etc. In case of use it will be replaced by a space.
Report order first columns
This parameter defines how the values in the report file are ordered. To adjust your preferences to columns or order, follow the details on the article order of results in csv report 🔗.
Default layout definition
This file will be used as default plate layout for an incubation run. The file must be stored in LayoutDefinition folder. For information if the usage of a default layout definition fits in your process, read our layout files guide 🔗.
Use predefined layout
If this feature is activated, the DAS will match the plate batch and number with a unique file that is uploaded in the layout definition folder 🔗. The expected file format should follow the Unique File Layout name details explained in our layout files guide 🔗.
Nr days warning calibration valid
A warning appears when calibration has not been done for this number of days. An incubation run can be still performed. For more information take a look on our article ‘Managing Calibrations’ 🔗.
Nr days Calibration valid
Calibration must be done before running an incubation if it has not been done for these many days. For more information take a look on our article ‘Managing Calibrations’ 🔗.
Tests deleted after Nr days
Tests will be removed automatically from the device after these many days. The allowed number must be between 30 and 365 days. Under the article ‘Files Tab’ 🔗 you can find more information related to the DAS memory and how to manually remove files if a warning appears.
Relative exposure time
Refers to the characteristics of the images. The default value is 1.
Color calibration Card
The parameter “Color card ID” defines the serial number of the color card definition file as we have seen in the example under Colour calibration 🔗. With the button “Choose file” and “Upload file”, a new color card definition file can be uploaded.
Operators
The names of the operators allowed to run incubations are saved into the file “operators.txt”. To view, modify and upload the file go to Managing operators 🔗.
Backup
This feature enables automatically sharing of incubation run results and calibration reports from the DAS to a shared folder in your system. It can be used to enable DAS connection to LIMS (laboratory information system). The connection requires using a DHCP router and non fixed IP. Go to (Set up) // Back ups 🔗 for more details on how to activate this field.
Unlock files
DAS files are by default locked to protect them from accidental deletion. By using the button ‘Unlock files’ below, you enable the function to ‘remove’ DAS generated files. Check out the information in the memory capacity and manual file removal 🔗before proceeding to deletion.
We recommend keeping your files locked – the files are locked automatically when closing the browser window
Change Date and Time
The date and time of the DAS can be adjusted by setting a new date and time in the format (yyyy-mm-dd HH:MM:SS). Follow the steps described in Localizing Date and time 🔗.
Software version
The software version in use is shown. The section Managing Software 🔗 describes step-by-step the procedure to upgrade your DAS.
Update other devices
A simple and fast way to update multiple devices at the same time when not performing any incubation. This feature will send stored details from one DAS to all connected devices on the same network. The available features will appear in the drop down menu, read here the steps to update other devices 🔗.
Remove current software
This feature will revert your DAS device to a previously installed software version. It is intended to assist with troubleshooting in rare circumstances or specific edge cases—so before attempting this on your own, please get in touch with us. Once you are sure that you need to use this feature, you can refer to our guide ‘Removing Current Version’ 🔗.
Restart
